Heat Reflecting Window Film

If the latter feels all too relatable, then heat reflecting window film may well be the ideal solution. This versatile self adhesive film helps to control glare and significantly reduce heat, minimise harmful UV rays and create an altogether much more comfortable environment.

What is heat reflecting window film?

These self-adhesive films (also known as solar control films) have the potential to transform a space from a stuffy no-go area, to a comfortable workplace with a consistent and bearable temperature.

Simply apply it to your windows as you would any other type of window film and it will reduce the gradual build up of heat that can potentially make a workspace unusable. Or at least very unpleasant for whoever is trying to work in it.

How do heat-reflective window films work?

As the name suggests, these films are very successful at reducing the heat in your commercial space. The science behind it is surprisingly simple.

Once applied to your windows, solar control window films reflect away a percentage of the sun’s heat and energy. This means the heat is stopped from entering the room and therefore prevented from continually raising the temperature to uncomfortable levels.

It’s a pleasant alternative to drawing curtains or blinds entirely on a sunny day. Especially as it still allows for excellent natural light transmission.

What are the benefits of using heat reflecting window films in a commercial building?

Your commercial building may be the most contemporary, stylish or well-branded premises around, but if the people inside are lethargic because of the heat or are squinting at the glare on their screens, something needs to change.

That change? Adding heat reflecting window film.

Aside from the increased heat control, you can also save money on your energy bills (through not having to crank up the air conditioning).

Additionally, you can also lower levels of glare and also let in fewer harmful UV rays that can potentially fade your furnishings.

Will heat reflecting window film affect the appearance of my windows?

Many solar control films also offer a level of privacy. For example, the UltraGlare-G014 Medium Shade is black in colour but still translucent. It would obscure the view from both sides of the window while still letting natural light pass through.

Depending on the shade you choose, your windows would appear darker in appearance but not opaque
